this one the same way it might’ve been found: translated from the ashes of an older world.Found beneath the ruins of Aurelion Keep.

“Every legend begins with a song they weren’t ready to sing — but were born to play.”
— Common saying attributed to Rayne the Bard
Recovered excerpt — translated from Eldenorian script XVI, c. Age of Augustus Drakon.
True date unknown.
When I decided to write epigraphs, I imagined them as fragments of Eldenoria’s lost. Once Rayne begins his journey as a bard, chapters that were especially impactful on Rayne are represented with an epigraph. Showing what he took from it. What lessons relearned, or what stuck with him.
This Epigraph is the first one to make an appearance in "The Bard's Tale: Awakening" Chapter 16
